Below are some frequently asked questions together with their answers.

Q – How does buddi differ from other personal location devices on the market?
A – buddi uses GPS (global positioning system) so it is much more accurate.  It can locate within a few metres.  It also has emergency help buttons.  The location of your buddi can be accessed using the internet, phone or by text

Q – Is buddi the same as the call button you can get from Age Concern?
A – With buddi the wearer can be any distance from home.  With the call button the wearer has to be within 80 metres of your home phone

Q – Does it have a battery and how do I charge it?
A – Yes it does have a battery and it typically lasts 2 days and it comes with a charger with a warning light to say when the battery is low. We would recommend however you charge it every evening.

Q – What happens if I lose my buddi?
A – You will need to purchase a new one! You need to check your personal effects insurance as you may be covered under this.
