Can buddi and the Buddi Connect app work for customers outside the UK?

The wristband can be used anywhere in the world.

Connect: The Connect app simply needs mobile and internet connectivity in order to send out any alerts to connections, so it can work in all markets where there is a smart phone GSM service, such as 3G or 4G.

Clip: The Buddi Clip uses a mobile phone network to communicate its location to our computers. To ensure that you are provided with the best possible mobile network coverage, the Buddi Clip comes supplied with an EU-wide roaming SIM as standard. If you intend to use your Buddi outside Europe, you will need to select ‘Global Roaming’ at point of purchase for an extra cost, however we cannot guarantee coverage worldwide so we strongly advise checking in advance of any travel.

How do I pay for subscription services?

International customers who have a UK bank account will be able to set up a Direct Debit. However, for those who do not have a UK bank account, you are able to have all the same benefits by paying for the buddi subscription services by credit card. 12 months subscription will be taken upfront and can be renewed annually, and cancelled at any point, with a time proportionate refund for any unused portion of the paid subscription service, provided written notice of termination is received by buddi.

After you purchase your Wristband (and clip if relevant), please contact our customer care team who will be able to help with taking the payment for the first 12 months.
